Self-Monitoring and When to Seek Help
Self-Monitoring and When to Seek Help
- Check your blood pressure regularly at home if possible, or visit your local clinic or pharmacy for free checks.
- When to Get Help Immediately: Blood pressure above 180/ 120 mm Hg, Severe headache, chest pain, Difficulty in breathing or vision problems, Confusion or trouble in speaking.
- Always take medicines exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Don’t stop taking them without medical advice, even if you feel fine.
- Write down your blood pressure readings, when you take medicine, and how you feel. This helps you spot patterns and gives your healthcare provider useful information.
