  • “Alcohol relaxes and reduces stress.”
  • Alcohol only feels relaxing briefly; over time it disrupts sleep, mood, and health.
  • “Tobacco helps me concentrate.”Nicotine gives temporary relief but increases heart strain and disease risk.
  • “I drink/smoke, but I’m fine.” Long-term use increases silent risks — heart disease, cancers, diabetes — often before symptoms appear. World Health Organization
